Happening 4
Paid for, booked and going ahead.
Christmas in the Village: the buildings lit and dressed, wagon rides and carols, the whole place done up for the season. Open to the wider group, so bring friends. Admission at the gate.
Clovermead's pumpkin festival out in Aylmer: the pumpkin cannon, wagon rides, the play barn and a field to pick your own from. Admission at the gate.
Picking, a wagon ride and the usual cider and donuts. Bring a bag or a basket. Admission is paid at the orchard, roughly $8 a child.
A proper beach day before the summer's out. Port Stanley's main beach unless we land on somewhere better. Bring lunch and everything you'd normally forget.
Committing 0
Enough families want these, so now they need paid places. Pull out any time before commitments close. After that the organiser has paid the instructor, so your place is yours to use or give to someone else.
Ideas 8
Someone has offered to run these. Say if you'd come, so they know whether it's worth booking. Nothing is booked and nobody has paid yet.
+ Put one upBeginners, taught by a homeschool parent who teaches ballet. Open to any age, six and up is the suggestion but it's flexible. At Reimagine or a studio downtown depending on how many of us there are.
The museum plus the Lawson site next to it, which is an excavated Iroquoian village. Worth asking what they can do for a group our size.
Hand building and glazing, everything fired and ready to take home by the last week. Needs a small group, so it caps out.
Two hours on the walls with an instructor, shoes included. No experience needed. Better for the older ones.
A reconstructed Attawandaron village at Longwoods Road Conservation Area, plus the trails. Half an hour out of London.
Someone raised Beast Academy on the list. Working through it together once a week would be free, it just needs a room and a couple of parents who don't mind sitting in.

Nobody has found the artist yet. Put your name down and it's worth going looking; leave it blank and it isn't.
September is when thousands of hawks funnel down the Lake Erie shore at Port Stanley. Free, and it only works on the right sort of day.
